Graduation day, whether it's high school or college, is special not only for the graduate, but also for parents, spouses, family members and friends.
Journal-Constitution staff photographer Kimberly Smith's occasional series on shooting better photographs takes a look at getting better shots on graduation day. She went to ceremonies at Emory University on Monday with her camera, a Canon Power Shot A620. The point-and-shoot has a zoom lens, and the file size for each image is 7.1 megapixels.
