Glenview, IL (November 5, 2007) — Ink2Image, a Glenview, IL-based distributor of digital inks, media, bulk-feed systems and related products to the photography and fine arts industries, has introduced a new bulk ink feed system specifically for the Epson Photo R2400. This new system solves the problem typically faced by bulk ink feeders due to the different black inks used depending on paper type.
"The eight color R2400 has two options for black inks— photo black for glossy or luster papers and matte black for matte papers," explains Tony Martin, President of Ink2Image. "Users running normal Epson cartridges swap out the black cartridge as they change papers. This is normally difficult to do with a bulk ink system, but Ink2Image has solved the problem."
The new Ink2Image nine ink bulk feed for the R2400 has nine reservoirs, nine tubes, and nine refillable cartridges. The unused black cartridge stores neatly on top of the other cartridges in the print head when not in use. When users want to change blacks, they simply swap the black cartridges around.
"This is unique to the North American market," continues Martin. "It allows users of the R2400 to achieve the cost and labor savings of using a bulk ink system, which can be up to 70% on the ink alone."
Ink2Image's new nine-ink bulk feed for the Epson Photo 2400 runs Cave Paint™ R24 archival pigmented inks, the latest generation of the acclaimed Lyson Cave Paint, R24 uses advanced resin technologies to provide eye-popping color and supremely rich blacks with superior fade resistance and no bronzing.
