Sony Intros Cyber-shot DSC-S500

Cyber-shot DSC-S500
Sony announces their latest member of the Cyber-shot digital camera family, the Cyber-shot DSC-S500. Expected to ship in the U.S. sometime around August 4, 2006, the camera is said to be a good choice for entry level digital photographers. The DSC-S500 combines 6.0 megapixel resolution with a quality 3x optical zoom lens design, sharp wide-angle shooting capability, 25 MB Internal Memory for capturing shots in-camera, and a bright 2.4-inch LCD screen.
The DSC-S500 will have a suggested list price at a very economical $179.95. The camera can be pre-ordered on www.SonySyle.com and will be available at most major consumer electronic and photography stores in August
