Workshops, Sessions Selling Out Fast for 2008 CHA Summer Convention & Trade Show

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ -- With just weeks remaining before the summer's premier craft and hobby event, several of the more than 70 educational sessions and workshops are already selling out. Crafting experts for all segments of the industry will be discussing the latest trends and products that will drive sales for the second half of 2008 and beyond. With topics ranging from timely business solutions to Show-themed education on children's crafting, the summer's most popular craft event will be held July 18-20, with education starting on July 17, at the Donald E. Stephens' Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

Industry authorities will be presenting business strategies in sessions such as "The Why and How to Use Classes and Clubs to Generate Store Traffic," "Grow Customers & Sales through a New Revenue Channel: Fabric!" and "Actions Speak Louder than Words! Veteran Sales Techniques That Work." Also appearing at the Show is bestselling author and keynote speaker Jean Chatzky teaching attendees how to "Make Money, Not Excuses…Even in a Recession!" Other Show offerings include workshops on topics including "Fabric Fun for Baby," "Retailer Friendly Hybrid: What It Means to You," and "Stay-n-Play Café."

More special Summer Show educational offerings include:

*Retailing with Excellence Program: A track of customized education for independent and scrapbook retailers focused on key business basics including Marketing, Sales, and Inventory. The goal of this program is to encourage continued success and growth among CHA's independent retailer members with simple take-home business lessons retailers can immediately implement in their stores.

* Designer Education: CHA's Designer Education program features events tailored specifically for designer members and scheduled conveniently during the lunch hours to reduce time away from the tradeshow floor. Designers of all levels are encouraged to attend these networking and education events with topics including "The ABC's of Getting Published," "Working with a Manufacturer," and much more.

*Kids Crafting Show-Themed Education: Designed to educate CHA members on how to reach kids with craft products and services, this Summer's Show themed education features sessions such as "Driving Sales Through Kids" and "Grow Your Business with Digital Scrapbooking: for Kids and Tweens!" Attendees will also learn customized Kids Crafting projects and techniques through CHA's Workshop program.
