DivX Announces DivX Certification of Casio Digital Still Camera
EX-S600D Allows Users to Create Video in the Popular DivX Format
Press Release

San Deigo--June 26, 2006--DivX, Inc. today announced the DivX Certification of Casio EX-S600D, the first digital still camera from Casio to include DivX technology. The EX-S600D represents a breakthrough device by allowing Casio digital camera users to natively capture videos in the extremely popular DivX format.

The Casio EX-S600D is a DivX Special Edition 6.0-megapixel Camera. Beginning in early July, it will be available online to consumers in France and Germany. The EX-S600D will capture high-quality videos directly in the DivX format. DivX has become one of the most popular video technologies in the world by enabling the creation and distribution of high-quality video at a fraction of the size of other formats.

The Casio EX-S600D camera allows consumers to easily access the valuable DivX ecosystem, an interconnected web of consumer electronics, software and content services that let users play, create and share high-quality video content across a range of devices and platforms. This includes DVD players, recorders and portable media players. Content created on the camera can be played on all PCs with DivX software installed and on over 1,500 models of DivX Certified consumer electronics devices from the world's leading brands.

"We are very enthusiastic about this new digital camera featuring DivX's exceptional technology," said Susumu Takashima, a director at Casio and head of the Digital Camera Unit. "Casio digital cameras have won consistent praise from users for their slim size, large screens, and long battery life. With the release of this new model, which makes it easy to record DivX-format movies, we look forward to welcoming a whole new group of customers to the pleasure of using Casio digital cameras."

"As Casio's first DivX Certified digital camera, the Casio EX-S600D expands the options for consumers to make their digital video content useful and compelling," said Bill Holmes, vice president of consumer electronics at DivX, Inc. "By creating high-quality video in the DivX format, users can easily share and distribute their personal content across a wide range of devices, an advantage that is not offered by other digital video technologies that are confined to the PC or one kind of portable device."

The EX-S600D is Casio's latest addition to the Exilim digital camera series. For more information, visit www.casio-europe.com/euro/. To learn more, also visit www.divx.com/casio-digital-camera.
