Casio Adds Trio of New Exilim Digicams to Product Line
Press Release

Casio, Inc. and its parent company, Casio Computer Co., Ltd., announced today the release of three new digital cameras: the ExilimŽ Card EX-S770, ExilimŽ Zoom EX-Z700, and Exilim Zoom EX-Z70.

The EX-S770 shoots 7.2-megapixel still images, features a 3x optical zoom, and records high-quality movies in MPEG-4 format. In addition, it features Casio's Super Bright 2.8-inch wide-screen LCD but still retains the ultra-slim card size of its predecessors.

The high-quality stainless steel body of the EX-S770 is the epitome of design elegance and ensures ease of operation as well, while maintaining all the slimness and beauty the Exilim Card line is renowned for. The Exilim Card EX-S770 is available in three colors: silver, blazing red, and graphite blue.

New functions that utilize the wide-screen include wide-screen movie recording. In addition to high-quality, VGA-size movies in MPEG-4 format, the EX-S770 can record 16:9 aspect ratio movies compatible with wide-screen TVs, which are growing in popularity. The camera records movies with a simple press of the movie button. There is no need to change modes. It also features an electronic anti-shake function that delivers beautiful movies by minimizing blur from shaky hands.

The EX-S770 has a suggested retail price of $379.99 and will be available at retail in September.

The new Exilim EX-Z700's Super Bright LCD is both big and bright: the 2.7-inch screen with 1200cd/m2 brightness is easy to see, even on a sunny day. At 7.2 megapixels, with a 3x optical zoom, the high-performance EX-Z700 ensures crystal-clear image output for both printing and screen, delivering extraordinary photographic detail. The long-life battery packs enough power for around 460 still images on a single charge, and the camera comes with Casio's Anti Shake DSP to reduce photo blur due to shaky hands or moving subjects. All in all, the EX-Z700 strikes an extremely attractive balance between slim, stylish looks and high-performance functionality. It also adds brand new picture-taking functions in Best Shot mode.

The EX-Z700 will have a suggested retail price of $299.99 and will be available in September in blue, silver and gray.

The release of the new EX-Z70 complements the already available EX-Z60, a high-performance, 6.0-megapixel model released earlier this year. The EX-Z70 increases the resolution to 7.2 megapixels for even more detailed, beautiful photographs, and features a 3x optical zoom as well.

Like its forerunner, the EX-Z70 features Easy Mode, a user-friendly camera menu for beginners. Easy Mode simplifies the wide array of camera settings to three easy menus (image size, flash, and self-timer). With Easy Mode, users can make camera settings using simple onscreen descriptions, enabling even beginners to get started right away with the fun of photography. A combination of other powerful features ensures that beautiful photos are captured with just a touch of the shutter button: Anti Shake DSP for reducing photo blur due to shaky hands or moving subjects; BEST SHOT function for getting optimal photo results simply by selecting a sample image of the type of scene the user wants to shoot; Large 2.5-inch LCD for great visibility

The camera's lightweight aluminum body comes finished in either luxurious black or high-quality silver. The top of the body is rounded to give it a soft look, and the overall design is a perfect blend of fashion and functionality.

The EX-Z70 will have a suggested retail price of $249.99 and will be available at retail in September.
