Munich, Germany - December 1st, 2008--Boinx Software announced the release of Mouseposť 3.1, the essential mouse pointer highlighting tool for everyone doing presentations, screencasts or demos. When activated, it dims the screen and shines a spotlight on the area around the mouse pointer, easily guiding the audience's attention to an area of interest. The new version adds a new filter option for displaying keystrokes and improves stability and performance on startup.

"In presentations it's all about to grab and to focus the attention," says Oliver Breidenbach, CEO of Boinx Software. "Mouseposť makes it easy for your audience to follow your actions on the screen. Of course, there are other uses as well. If you have a large screen, it helps you to quickly locate the mouse pointer when you return to your work after an interruption. And visually-impaired people tell us that it helps them as well."

Mouseposť provides many other subtle techniques to focus the attention on the important activities or content during a presentation. It gives audio feedback so that, for example, the audience not only sees the mouse clicks but also hears them. If the area of interest is in a particular part of the window, Mouseposť automatically expands the focus to include the window when the mouse is hovering over it for a certain time. This way, the audience is also aware of the larger context.

With the new version 3.1, users can now define a list of custom keystrokes that will not be displayed when using the keystroke display. When modifier and keys are pressed, only complete key combinations are shown. The update also improves stability and performance on startup on some computers.
