(PRWEB) July 18, 2008 -- Internationally known photographer Ash Gupta's work is featured in the Michael Hirshenson short film "Moving Stills," an official selection of the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival screening Friday 6:00 p.m. July 18, 2008 at the Sunset Laemmle 5 in West Hollywood.
"The moment before, and the breaths taken after--these are the stories inside an image, moments distilled and frozen into the isolation of the still frame.
"But when an image grows too large, spilling out of the frame, it begins to enter another ambit, the art of the illustration of instance. A bridge of these forms provides the drama of the still, drawn across the sequence of time, giving the viewer a window into the amalgamated realm of a hybrid experiment in craft," said Ash Gupta.
The above statement comes from internationally known fashion photographer Gupta, and its very meaning unleashes a forum for all photographers and lovers of the art form to engage in. Hirshenson, a Hollywood casting professional for movies such as "Hook," "Lord of the Flies," and "Jurassic Park," has demonstrated Ash's quote well in his film "Moving Stills."
This 4 minute 45 second short is literally an experimental art film by which the still photographer, Gupta, sees moments frozen in time through his lens, while the filmmaker, Hirshenson tells a story with movement and sound.
The movie is further enhanced musically with score by Grammy Award-winning composer Joe Romersa, and is an official selection of the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.

He has continued to leave a lasting impression on Agenda Magazine's readers with the last five covers - his most recent, featuring Adrianne Curry of "My Fair Brady," "America's Next Top Model," and "The Surreal Life."
