Studio Photography Editor Judges B&W Competition
Center for Fine Art Photography Exhibition Now Online

Earlier this year, Studio Photography Editor Alice Miller served as sole juror of the Center for Fine Art Photography's 2007 Black & White Exhibition. The Juror's Selection award went to "Ponies Threshing Barley" by Richard Durnan. The Studio Photography award went to "Missing You" by Shena Kaye. The Director's Selection, chosen by the Center, is "Front and Center" by Stephen Weaver.

As Miller says in her Juror's Statement, " The 50 images that comprise the Black & White Exhibition present a stunning range of subject matter, style, mood, perspective, texture, illumination, and rhythm. Whether portraying innocence or irony, grace or grief, poignancy or power, each image is so well rendered that it seems complete in every way--yet somehow part of a longer story we’ve just begun to explore."
