Munich--January 2009-- Linhof is the oldest existing camera manufacturer in the world with a tradition of more than 120 years in developing and manufacturing view cameras and optical equipment for applied photography.
The company has been actively engaged in supporting the projects of younger people for many decades. In September 2009 Linhof again offered a bi-annual competition for the best images of younger photographers (Deadline for submissions: March 31st, 2009).
The theme of the competition is "Human Cityscapes". The judging will take place in April 2009 by a select jury of experts in the photographic world to determine the 3 best entries. Jury members (amongst others): Thomas Weski (associate director, Haus der Kunst Munich, curator of photography), Hans-Michael Koetzle (author and journalist, Munich) and Prof. Peter Bialobrzeski (Academy of Fine Arts, Bremen, photographer).
The prizes are as follows:
1st prize Linhof Camera equipment to the value of € 10.000.-
2nd prize Linhof Camera equipment to the value of € 3.000.-
3rd prize Linhof Camera equipment to the value of € 1.000.-
