Neil Portnoy is a veteran of the imaging industry, having held various management positions over the last 15 years working with both retailers and manufacturers. Neil managed the imaging business at NPD from 1995 to 2000, and was promoted to director of retail business development in 2000, overseeing NPD’s most strategic retail relationships. During his time at NPD, he was a frequent speaker at many industry trade shows and seminars, including PMA, PMDA, the PRO Convention, and Lyra digital imaging events. He joined Nikon in 2001 as national marketing manager and was promoted to senior analyst for market research in 2002. It was during his last position at Nikon that Neil became familiar with Claritas and the real-world applications of customer segmentation.
