A love of emotion has also shaped the way he shoots the wedding couple’s portraits, encouraging them to interact and play so their passion shows through even in a controlled situation.
“During the day, I wear many hats. I’m a landscape photographer, architectural photographer, still-life photographer, and portrait photographer. My most important role is that of photojournalist and family historian documenting the love, happiness, tears, and passion that flows on a wedding day.”
Though it is hard to be completely incognito with a pair of large cameras hanging from your neck, Parris puts people at ease and blends into the background as needed.
“My favorite comments come from couples who tell me they never really noticed me, but when they see their photos it seems I was everywhere.”
That’s Parris for you: He’s here, there, and everywhere.
