Try going RAW. While JPG works beautifully on this camera, shooting in RAW mode offers many advantages. Combine that with Canon's DPP editing and conversion software, and you have a home run on your hands.
Be aware of recording quality settings. The camera offers RAW + four JPG sizes; I usually choose RAW + small JPG. Small JPGs are 11MB when uncompressed.
What else can I say other than the more you use this camera, the more you're going to love it.
