Ever wonder what’s behind some particularly surreal photoimagery? Here, Nozicka gives us a quick look at the layers behind his Samsung “Wing Walker” project:
1. The plane, an old DC-8 that was the Brooklyn Dodgers tour plane in the 1950s, and the model were shot together on location in Ferris, California.
2. The full harvest moon was shot in Chicago a week before.
3. On the day of the actual plane shoot, the two images were digitally composed on a laptop on the airstrip and emailed to the client instantly.
