"I think it's great that HP and Casio and some of the other
non-traditional photo companies did so well," Munce said. "It just
shows that the new players are now getting a chance to be
successful."
He noted that the competition, which used a "blind voting" system,
was judged by a prestigious panel including Daniel Grotta who runs
Digital Benchmarks, an online and print publication which
evaluates digital cameras; Brian Lawler, a color management expert;
and Eddie Tapp, a professional photographer and respected
teacher.
