New Scanners From HP
Hewlett-Packard Company has unveiled an exclusive innovation in scanning technology. Three scanners - the HP Scanjet 7400C, 7450C and 7490C - incorporate this technology for the benefit of busy office professionals. These HP scanners have one 2400-dpi staggered pixel sensor, for high optical resolution, along with one 600-dpi linear pixel sensor, for high speed when scanning at lower resolutions. For scans requiring more exact resolution, such as scanning negatives, the 2400-dpi sensor is used.
Combined with the innovative technology, are 48-bit color depth, legal-size platens, PC and Macintosh compatibility, powerful software, and one-touch scanning. The scanners also come with a lighted transparency adapter for scanning 35mm slides, negatives and transparencies up to 5x5 inches.
