"Our retail and pro lab customers are receptive and eager for us to deploy this solution, and we're very pleased to bring this offering to them," says Thomas Curley, director of marketing for lab solutions, Imaging Division, Fujifilm U.S.A. "The solution combines innovative photo software with retail order management capability to enhance the growing business of photo specialty items, with the added benefit of ongoing demand and increased revenue stream."
Along with the modules for creating cards, calendars, and photo books, the software includes a separate order console application for billing and releasing orders for printing. Orders can be created by customers on workstations in-store or in-lab, or from their own computers at home. Once sent to the retailer or lab, the job is then released or sent to the Xerox printer for two-sided output on high-quality paper.
"Working with Fujifilm…is an exciting development for us," says Andrew Friedland, VP, business development, DigiLabs, Inc. "We are also especially proud of our robust customization that not only serves our professional photographer clientele, but also allows for us to team up with retailers and offer home-to-store solutions."
