Store owners emphasize passion for photography & fun to customers

The kiosk area is visible by the main sales counter, so attentive staff members are always ready to assist customers. Shelves display examples of photo gifts that customers can make, as well as items they might be interested in purchasing.

Peering in the Windows of Glass House

The female staff of F-11 started their own women's photography group called Glass House Group. "We give them facilities to meet in, advertising, newsletter space, PR, and web space," says Marsha. "It's been a real hit."

The Glass House Group was started by Maureen Evans, Nikole Rae Greer, Brooke Huffman, Cami Miller, Katherine Milledge, Jennifer Walker, and Briana Bell. The name originated from the women's admiration of photographer Julie Margaret Cameron. Glass House Group began this past February, with only one month of advertising (Marsha notes that attendees are lured in the door with chocolate). The group meets once a month at the store or on location to shoot. They range in age from 20-somethings to retired grandmothers who schedule their visits with the grandkids to coincide around group meetings. Marsha notes that some shoot film, others digital. "It's a great little group," she adds. And totally run by the staff themselves.
