This addresses a key need CPQ has identified among its customers. "During a wedding, there's an emotional peak," Robertson says. "But it starts to diminish immediately afterward." The photographer's challenge, therefore, is to get an album into the bride's hands as quickly as possible. "If a photographer can deliver the final product faster, it's more likely there will be larger incremental reprint orders," he says.
Another benefit to digital imaging, Robertson says, is streamlined lab processes. "We're offering the same high quality and service that we have for 30 years, but we're more automated," he says. "When we provide faster turnaround to our customers and reduce costs, that's a solid R.O.I. Technology like the ProShots system helps us generate new business, while keeping our overhead costs down. It's a growth strategy that works for our lab."
