CANON U.S.A., INC. ( and the American Park Network (www.AmericanPark
) announced a free photography workshop program on select dates throughout the summer in Yosemite, Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Parks. These programs will be hosted and instructed by world renowned Canon Explorer of Light photographers including Adam Jones and Lewis Kemper, along with other Canon photographers such as Rob and Ann Simpson. From June 1st to September 29th, photographers are encouraged to submit their favorite photographs from an American park to the Canon Digital Learning Center.

EPSON AMERICA, INC. ( ranks as the number-one selling brand of front projectors in the United States for 1Q2007, according to Pacific Media Associates. In addition, the Epson brand has once again earned the number one ranking as the top-selling projector brand worldwide, according to quarterly data just released from Pacific Media Associates. Epson projectors have held the top worldwide market position for four consecutive quarters.

KINGSTON TECHNOLOGY COMPANY, INC. ( announced a new feature to its ‘Icons of Photography’ microsite which allows photographers posting images to be critiqued by icons such as Harry Benson, Colin Finlay, Gerd Ludwig, and Peter Read Miller. MOHAWK FINE PAPERS INC. ( announced another company initiative to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change. As of May 1, 2007, Mohawk’s fleet of five trucks have been converted over to a biodiesel fuel mix. In addition, the biodiesel fuel mix used by Mohawk also reduces sulfur oxides and sulfates by approximately 20%.

LOWEPRO ( announced its participation in the Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) Conference: TEDGlobal Conference 2007, hosted in Arusha, Tanzania from June 4 – 7, 2007. The conference addressed the opportunities and challenges currently facing Africa and some of the solutions being undertaken by the African people to address those issues. Attendees, which included Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the former Nigerian Finance Minister, and world renowned scientist Dr. Jane Goodall, along with 40 other distinguished speakers, all received a Lowepro CompuDaypack.

PANASONIC ( is displaying two of its 103-inch plasmas in the lobby/atrium area of the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The 103-inch plasmas are suspended side-by-side 30 feet above ground. Panasonic’s 103-inch plasma features widescreen display with full HD pixel resolution of 1,920 horizontal x 1,080 vertical.
