SP&D's Guide to Albums and Frames
One of the latest trends in album design is the use of album design software to enhance the images that are included in a wedding or event album.
The traditional album window mats are still popular as well, but digital imaging has given rise to the idea that creative possibilities are endless. If you can think it, you can design it. And if you are a great photographer but want to leave album design to othersmany companies also offer a design service, along with the myriad of album shapes, sizes and covers. Many of these software programs allow you to composite a number of images on a page and have only one enlargement (page) made, which can turn out to be a noticeable cost savings.
Another trend is hot, new colorsvibrant blues and reds, purples and sleek metallic sheens.
Software has also made a difference in how you can present framing choices to your customers. Levin Frames' Autoframes gives you the capability to show your clients how their images will look displayed inside one of the many frame choices Levin offers.
Many of these software programs also allow you to create and burn a slideshow of images to CD/DVD. Market the slideshow as an add-on product to your client's album and frame purchases for even more sales opportunities. What bride wouldn't want to have a copy of her images as a slideshowonce she sees it
Along with the many new products included here, check out the companies' websites for a more extensive array of album and frame options.
