WnSoft released PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.6. The new software customizes slides and adds sophisticated animation and transition effects, including 3D effects and smooth pan/zoom effects to your online slideshows. A comment and an audio file can be added to each slide. The program features a timeline integrated into the main window to synchronize slides with a soundtrack. The software also enables a user to password-protect a slideshow or assign an expiration date.


SIGMA unveiled the 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM lens. This large-aperture standard zoom lens features a Super Multi Layer Coating that reduces flare and ghosting. ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glass elements and three aspherical lenses provide correction of all types of aberrations. The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures a quiet and high-speed AF as well as full-time manual focusing capability. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 15-inches and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.3. The lens will be available in mounts for Nikon, Sony, Canon, Sigma, and Pentax cameras.


Fredrix Print Canvas unveiled the 777 Vivid, reformulated with a new ink-receptive coating. The easily top-coated surface and smooth texture are suited for fine-art reproductions and giclée prints. As with all Fredrix water-resistant canvases, the 777 Vivid is designed for pigmented inks and water-based top coats with sizes available from 17-inch up to 60-inch widths.


INTELICOAT TECHNOLOGIES released two new film products to its Magic brand product line--Novara CF and Palermo SPF. Magic Novara CF, a quick-drying 5.4-mil polyester clear film designed for pigmented inks, has a gloss surface and the highest transmission black density in its class, making it a solution for film positives in silkscreen applications, or for proofing overlay and graphic applications. Its slight level of opacity eliminates the need for edge stripes with optical sensing printers. Novara CF is designed to offer exceptional print performance on HP Designjet series printers; Epson 7800 and 9800 printers with K3 inks; and Canon IPF8000 printers.


Olympus has launched a new DSLR, the E-620, which incorporates a variety of art filters and multiple exposure with built-in image stabilization, into a compact body. The easy to use filters will allow photographers the ability to alter digital images right in the camera. The art filters that are featured in the camera include: Pop Art, Soft Focus, Pale & Light Color, Light Tone, Grainy Film, and Pin Hole. The Olympus E-620 offers 12.3 megapixels in resolution, a 2.7-inch LCD, face detection, perfect shot preview and multi-aspect ratio shooting. The camera also incorporates a built-in dust reduction system. The E-620 will be available in May as a body alone or in a kit with a 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Zuiko digital zoom lens.


Meese Orbitron Dunne Co. unveiled its new line of colonnade arch systems in granite. Featuring speckled gray and black in a 3D texture, the granite coloration enables photographers to match, blend, or otherwise coordinate their colonnade arch systems with the theme, color of the event and/or the décor of the room or facility they're shooting in. The granite coloration is available on the company's traditional Graeco-Roman, fluted-style colonnade arch systems; on its smooth, earthy Tuscan-style arch systems; and on its expansive, contemporary oval colonnade arch systems, which suit a wide range of events, tastes, and styles.
