Canon U.S.A., Inc.
Canon U.S.A., Inc., (www.canonusa.com) unveiled two new imagePROGRAF 12-color, large-format printers: the imagePROGRAF iPF6100 and imagePROGRAF iPF5100. The new printers are capable of 24-inch wide and 17-inch wide prints, respectively, and have a 12-color pigment inkset. The color formulations reduce bronzing and provide better ink adhesion for improved scratch resistance. Both new models support next-generation Kyuanos color management technology for Windows, to deliver output color suitable for different viewing conditions, such as fluorescent lights, incandescent lights, and sunlight. Each model offers easy-to-use color calibration to help ensure output color consistency and accuracy.

Interfit
Interfit Studio Lighting (www.interfit

) introduced the Super Cool-Lite 5 System. These units provide a soft, uniform diffused light, ideal for portrait and product photography. The Super Cool-Lite uses daylight-balanced lamps and is easy to use with the equivalent of 500 watts from each of the daylight-balanced heads. The Cool-Lite 5 heads produce little or no heat, and come complete with 5x24 watt lamps, 40cm reflector, and 60cm softbox.

Other World Computing (OWC)
Other World Computing (www.mascales.com) announced the OWC 160GB, 7200rpm Mercury On-the-Go portable hard drive, a palm-sized, bus-powered, high-performance storage unit. The drive is equipped with FireWire 800/400 and USB 2.0 interfaces.

Phase One
Phase One (www.phaseone.com) released five new digital camera back models: P 45+, P 30+, P 21+, P 25+, P 20+. The P45+, the top of the line star, breaks barriers in terms of what's possible in photography. The entry-level P21+ is the fastest and closest to what photographers might be used to shooting with. The new backs feature faster capture speeds (as low as 0.8 seconds per frame), the highest digital back display resolution (230,400 pixels), superior image quality (introducing OptiColor+ and Dynamic+), and new camera support with Phase One Capture One version 3.7.7. [Editor's Note: This version of Capture One also supports Leica DIGILUX 3, Fuji S5, Nikon D40, Pentax K10D and K100D, and Olympus E-400.]

Sinar Bron
Sinar Bron (www.sinarbron.com) released the Hy6 medium-format digital camera system. Designed to capture images using both digital and conventional film backs, the Hy6 offers a true 6x6cm medium-format size with the flexibility of a 4.5x6cm camera. Based on an 'open system' design, the Sinar Hy6 can easily adapt to future chip technology by allowing the insertion of larger (higher-resolution) image sensors of up to 56x56mm.

The Sigma Corporation
Sigma (www.sigmaphoto.com) unveiled the DP1, an integral-lens compact camera with all the functions of a full-spec digital SLR, including a built-in lens and APS-size sensor. Equipped with a 14-megapixel (2652x1768x3 layers) large-size, direct-image sensor, the DP1 uses three silicon-embedded layers of photo sensors and takes advantage of silicon's ability to absorb red, green, and blue light at different depths.

Visatec
Visatec (www.visatecusa.com)released two car bag kits. Both measuring 21.3"x9.4"x10.2", the car bag kits are convenient and portable. Made of high-quality polyester fabric, one comes equipped with two SOLO 400 B units and the other with two 800 B units. The kits also contain two umbrella reflectors—one white and one silver—and a sync cable, 16.4 ft. The flash power can be continuously reduced over 3 f-stops. By power reduction, Visatec SOLO is internally discharged, eliminating the need to fire down.
