Agfa Service Revamped
Agfa Consumer Imaging recently restructured and renamed its equipment service organization in an effort to enhance customer satisfaction and more efficiently provide equipment service. "Agfa Customer Support Operations is more than just a name change," said Chris O'Meara, director of Operations. "It's a commitment from our entire organization that we will exceed customer expectations for service support."
Agfa Customer Support Operations will now be divided into four regions instead of the previous three serving the U.S. The new regional lineup will include West, Central, NorthEast and the new South Region. Other improvements include: providing emergency, on-site service during weekends; revised pricing for spare parts; improved training; and revisions to Agfa's customer service contract options including incentives added to many of them. A new software-driven call management system was installed, which will avoid on-line delays by quickly and efficiently routing calls to the appropriate technical specialist, and a new website dedicated to Agfa Customer Support Operations information and services was created at www.agfaserviceus.com.

Ulead Systems, Inc. has entered into the enterprise server market with two new imaging software solutions. These two new products include: iMira Album, a server-based online photo sharing application and iMira Editing, a server-based online image editing and conversion application. Both provide online imaging services without the need to partner with third party suppliers.
"Traditionally companies are forced to build prohibitive and complex imaging systems or pay ongoing fees for this service to an Application Service Provider," said Danielle Liao, president of Ulead Systems, Inc. "iMira Album and iMira Editing give organizations a cost-effective, yet powerful alternative that can work alone or with a company's existing imaging system. Best of all, an organization owns the iMira Server software, giving them direct control over system data, storage and processing fees."
iMira Album and iMira Editing are now available. For more, visit the websites, firstname.lastname@example.org or esolutions.ulead.com.
