Kodak Announces Alliance with YesVideo
According to recent studies by Kodak, consumers have over 200 million hours of videotaped memories that could be digitized and transferred to DVD or CD for greater preservation. To capitalize on this market, Eastman Kodak Co. has formed a relationship with YesVideo to offer Video to DVD/CD Transfer Services via Kodak's Qualex lab network. Utilizing Kodak's existing photofinishing bag, consumers can order Video to DVD or CD Transfer Services as easily as they can have film processed to get prints. Memories stored on DVD and CD last for more than 100 years, while videotape can degrade in quality in as few as ten years.
Video to DVD or CD Transfer Services are available at more than 12,000 retail locations nationwide supported by Qualex; customers simply drop off their videotapes and return in 14 days to pick up their DVD or CD.
