Eastman Kodak Company expanded the Kodak EasyShare digital photography system with three new digital cameras - the Kodak EasyShare DX3900 Zoom, DX3700 and DX3215 Zoom cameras as well as enhanced Kodak Picture Software. The enhanced software automatically enables any inkjet printer to produce Kodak-quality photos at home.
The DX3900 features 3.1-Megapixel resolution and a powerful 6X zoom. This feature-rich camera allows picture-takers to choose between fully automatic functions or manual settings for enhanced creative control.

Polaroid Debuts MP Digicam
Polaroid Corp., has launched the PhotoMAX PDC 1320, a consumer Megapixel camera. The camera incorporates both 1,280-by-960 and VGA resolution modes, allowing the user to optimize image capture for printing or online sharing, a 2X digital zoom, and three flash modes. The PhotoMAX PDC 1320 also features 8 MB of internal memory, a CompactFlash removable memory slot and a USB interface. Visit for more details.

Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., debuted the FinePix 2800 Zoom, the company's latest mid-range digital camera. The FinePix 2800 features a 2-Megapixel CCD, and a 6X optical zoom lens. The FinePix 2800 Zoom's bundled accessories include a 16MB SmartMedia card, four AA Alkaline batteries, shoulder strap and USB and video cables. In addition to Fujifilm's FinePixViewer, other bundled software includes Fujifilm's DP Editor and Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4.0.

New Digicam from Minolta
Minolta Corporation has expanded its digital camera line-up with the new DiMAGE E201. The E201 features a 2.3 MP CCD and 2X digital zoom. This entry level digicam can also record movie clips of up to 60 seconds. The camera features point and shoot automation with changes to settings possible when the user wants to grow with digital photography. Images can be recorded in either Jpeg or Tiff formats on CompactFlash Type I media. A quick connection between the camera and computer is available with the included USB cable as the computer will recognize the DiMAGE E201 as an external storage device.

Leica Camera, Inc., introduced the Minox CD 155, ultra compact camera with Minoxar lens. The camera features a zoom range of 38-155mm and offers a panorama format for breathtaking landscapes. The eyesight adjustment on the viewfinder makes the Minox CD 155 comfortable for eyeglass wearers to use. Red-eye is eliminated with an additional pre-flash of the camera's flash. The lightweight Minox CD 155 comes with a practical belt case and battery and will also be available with a databack.

Ilford's new Galerie line of premium inkjet photo paper is available in Classic Pearl, Smooth Pearl and Smooth Gloss surfaces. Ilford's Galerie papers combine state-of-the-art inkjet receiving technology with a robust base for optimal results. All of the Ilford Galerie papers are resin coated, and designed to give a true photographic look and feel. In the coming months, Ilford plans to introduce Galerie Classic Gloss, which will round out the line of Galerie papers.
