CARL ZEISS unveiled the latest member of the ZM lens family, the C Biogon T* 2.8/35 ZM lens. Together with the compact C Biogon T* 4.5/21 ZM, it creates the ideal solution for a wide range of applications such as documentation and architecture photography. The symmetrical Biogon construction with seven lens elements in five groups allows for distortion-free images. As with the other lenses in this line, the C Biogon T* 2.8/35 ZM features an intuitive operating concept, a robust all-metal frame, and a precise, noticeable click in 1/3 aperture stops.

Hensel unveiled the Lightbar 130, the newest addition to its Shutterlight Series. Ideal for portraiture, product, or automotive photography, the Lightbar 130 works with the Tria, Vela (up to 3000), and, with adapter cables (5780), the Porty and Mini. The Lightbar 130 is lightweight, with handles on each end for easy manipulation. It connects to a light stand via a pivot lock ensemble that enables users to pivot, turn, and rotate the light for any angle imaginable. With the addition of barn doors, users can slim down the light to a narrow beam.

SANYO unveiled the Xacti CG9, an easy-to-use and affordable MPEG-4 digital camcorder with 9.1-megapixel still-image capability. Whitech USA released the newest version of its Photo.Teller software this month. The latest version can be utilized on Whitech kiosks or on a standard PC. The software includes trend-setting templates for producing high-margin items such as story- and photobooks; folded single, or multiple-page greeting cards and calendars; wide-format products (canvas art, posters, and sign-in boards); and scrapbook pages.
