"It's kind of weird that high schools, in some ways, are ahead of college and the pros," Graff, a Nebraska graduate, said.

Colleges are likely to begin catching up, Graff predicted, saying: "I think as coaches become more and more familiar with these systems, especially the younger generation, there are going to be more and more guys pushing for it, saying, 'I've grown up using this all week, why can't I have its benefit on game day?' "
