Peruvian Photographer Released by Kidnappers Returns Home
Associated Press Writer

The Palestinian Authority made it clear in negotiations that Razuri "was not a viable bargaining chip in the process because of his nationality (and) his job as a France-Presse photographer," Gutierrez said. "He did not represent an asset for Hamas. This message was understood."

Razuri arrived home before dawn and drove straight from the airport to his family's residence in the La Punta district of Callao, on the outskirts of the capital, accompanied by his mother Delia de Razuri.

There he was welcomed by dozens of journalists, friends, family and neighbors.
